LEGAL DEFENSE FUND INC. (LDF)

The Colorado State Legal Defense Fund Board of Trustees voted to set aside the Colorado LDF Terms and Conditions and begin obtaining legal Services through the Grand Lodge FOP Legal Defense Plan effective January 1st, 2010. The Grand Lodge Plan was modeled after the Colorado Plan with some expanded coverages. Additionally the Grand Lodge FOP LDP has accepted our current attorneys as approved so members continue to have access to the same quality legal representation.

When a plan attorney is used, the Grand Lodge plan has NO CAPS on the amount of coverage for covered "Duty Related" incidents. This gives officers in the plan the peace of mind that they will be represented and protected without personal worry of financial obligation.

Feel free review the (click link) Grand Lodge FOP Legal Defense Plan. Unlike many of our competitors who only offer a tri-fold brochure highlighting plan options and benefits, we allow our members to review the plan in its entirety.

If you find yourself in a situation where you need to file a claim, please review (click to link) "How to file a claim". In that section you will find step by step instructions on filing a claim with a claim administrator and obtaining competent legal representation from one of our plan attorneys.

Why FOP Legal Defense?
Oct 27, 2011
It is an understandable fact that some members' loyalty to their organization only extends as far as their wallet. It is a fact that the FOP's solid loyalty to its members extends to the high level of quality services provided. It is also a fact that the main reason some officers belong to the FOP is solely for its excellent legal defense coverage.
